Can you tell us about your background and experience with Donut King?

My name is Sam, and I've been the proud owner of Donut King for the past 15 years. During this time, we've managed to become the busiest Donut King in all of Australia.

What is it about Nepean Village and the Penrith community that makes you proud to be a part of it?

Nepean Village and the Penrith community hold a special place in our hearts. We take pride in being an integral part of this community, which has supported us throughout our journey.

Could you share the story behind how you and your mother decided to open the Donut King store together?

15 years ago, my mum Debbie, and I were searching for something we could do together. We were drawn to the Donut King brand, the vibrant community at Nepean Village, and its prime location. So, we decided to open the store together, and it's been an incredible 15-year journey since.

What about Donut King bring you the most joy and fulfillment?

One of the most fulfilling aspects of running Donut King is witnessing the joy on people's faces when they receive our delicious donut treats. It's awesome to see how our treats bring happiness to our customers.

You mentioned a recent change in your role at Donut King. Could you tell us more about that?

After 14 years of hands-on involvement in store operations, I'm slowly transitioning into a community-focused role. This shift allows me to spearhead various fundraising initiatives and further engage with the community outside of the store.

Could you share a standout moment or experience that holds special significance to you?

One particularly memorable moment over the past 15 years was during the lockdown period when we distributed donut decorating kits to families in the local area. Witnessing families come together to create and enjoy their own treats during such a challenging time was truly heartwarming.

Lastly, what message would you like to share to the community as you look forward to the future?

I want to express my gratitude to the community for their incredible support over the past 15 years. As we look ahead, I'm excited about the opportunity to continue creating special moments with our customers and delivering delicious treats for everyone to enjoy in the next 15 years and beyond.
