If the last two years have been anything to go by, there’s never been more of a focus on everyday health and wellness amongst communities. It’s something Ashleigh from About Me Organics agrees with, “in our industry things are constantly changing, especially in today’s current climate. The last two years have allowed us to really narrow down and become highly engaged with attending to the health needs of our community.”

After working in the family business for the past 3 years, Ashleigh has witnessed a community more committed to their health, with an openness to learning about alternative products on the market. “We stock a unique range of products that are clean, toxic-free and mostly natural.”

In recent times, Ashleigh has noticed she’s assisting more of the community with general immunity, stress, and anxiety related issues, “I love being able to listen to a customer’s needs and then providing them with a solution that is targeted and low-cost. We don’t like to see people suffering and that’s why working here for me is so fulfilling.”

“We love hearing how our recommendations really helped them through a tough time. Listening about what their triggers are, is what helps us recommend suitable products.”

The rise of social media marketing across the health space has also had a profound impact on the community. “I love the fact that when a customer comes in asking for a new product on the market with strong social proof, I can almost always say we have it in stock. We are always keeping up to date with the latest products on the market, ones that are tried and tested.”

“Some of the most popular product lines that we have people come in for, is surprisingly clean beauty products. Recommending clean beauty products is one of my passions.”

Ashleigh also spoke about how their store will generally work in conjunction with the centre’s Chemist in the shared management of community health. “The chemist often sends customers to us and vice versa. We love working together towards a common goal for our customers. For us, it’s about supporting fellow centre stores where we can.”

About Me Organics’ position at the centre ensures strong amounts of foot traffic and new customers, daily. “We definitely feel as though our location at Nepean Village is what contributes to our store’s success. We get strong amounts of foot traffic and share in the centre’s loyal local customer base.”

“We love the conversations we have with our customers when they come to us in need. Every customer brings their own, unique journey to us and it’s definitely a highlight of our working week to be a part of that wellness journey with them.”
