The true spirit of Christmas was alive and well at Nepean Village this festive season, thanks to the incredible efforts of the Our Community Cares Penrith and Nepean volunteers... and the generosity of our local community.

Across 27 festive days, OCC’s dedicated volunteers donated an incredible 208 hours of their time, wrapping gifts with care and spreading Christmas cheer to every shopper who stopped by. Their hard work paid off, with a total of $15,086 raised in 2025, surpassing last year’s result.

All funds raised were donated directly to the Nepean Hospital Nurse Wish List, supporting much needed items across both the Paediatric Ward and Palliative Care Ward, helping nurses provide comfort, care and joy to patients and families during an especially challenging time of year.

Beyond the dollars raised, it was the kindness shown that truly made this campaign special. Volunteers were overwhelmed by the warmth of the community... from generous donations and friendly conversations to thoughtful gestures like customers stopping by with a coffee or simply taking the time to say thank you.

A heartfelt thank you to every customer who donated, visited, supported the volunteers, and celebrated Christmas with us at Nepean Village. Your generosity helps Our Community Cares continue their vital work and directly supports frontline nurses caring for our community’s most vulnerable patients.
